How it works

The tool saves the moment the countdown should end and recalculates the remaining time every second using your device's clock. This keeps the countdown accurate even if the tab runs in the background or you come back later — time keeps running normally without pausing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the countdown keep running if I close the tab?

Yes. The tool saves the end time, so when you reopen the page the remaining time is recalculated from the real clock. Time runs normally without pausing while the tab is closed.

How do I share a countdown with other people?

In 'Until a date' mode, use the copy link button. The generated URL stores the date and title, so anyone who opens it will see the same countdown, updated in real time.

Why doesn't the sound play automatically?

The sound alert only plays when you enable the corresponding option. This avoids disturbing users who prefer to follow the countdown in silence.

Can I count more than 99 days?

The tool displays countdowns of up to 99 days. For longer periods the countdown still works, but we recommend dates within that range for the best display of the numbers.
